2017 Proud To Be Bullyfree Gala

Our 2017 Proud To Be Bullyfree Gala was an outstanding success and our best year yet. The evening kicked off at Brookstreet Hotel with cocktails and the sweet sounds and smooth voice of DJ MellowD. Our guests enjoyed capturing fun moments in our social photo booth while Sid Cratzbarg, host of the Get Sidified interviewed the local celebrities and fashionistas in the crowd. Ottawa Business Journals Caroline Phillips was on site to interview many of our local celebrities and entrepreneur guests.

Brookstreet hotel and their staff wowed our 260 guests with an amazing 3-course meal and impeccable service.

Olympian Sekou Kaba took the stage to talk to our sold out crowd of 260 about his experiences with bullying and how he overcame it to achieve his goal of representing Canada in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio.

Auctioneer Carson Hill wowed the crowd and had the bids flying for our live auction items making this year our most successful live auction for PTBM.  DJ Mellow Dee returned to the stage to spin our guests onto the dance floor where many danced the night away.

We would like to thank all our sponsors, guests and supporters as without you we would not be able to continue the great work we are able to achieve through Proud To Be Me.

Together we can continue to make a difference in the lives of youth in our community! And thanks to the work of our fantastic photographers Kristen Twolan and Jill Guthrie we will have many memories of this amazing event.
